The Law of Harmlessness - Your Key to Creating Peace & Harmony!

The law of harmlessness revolves around both our thoughts and the words we use, but mostly it comes from our thought. We all want to experience a higher consciousness, be free from limitations and feel the goodness of life. However the main thing that keeps us from achieving is the fact that we compare, judge, denial and basically omit the things that we want.

This is why the power of your thought and recognizing the value of our thoughts and controlling them so they are productive to peace, harmony and love is so critically important to us.

We as human beings are quite skilled and controlled in our use of words, so that disharmony isn’t prevalent in our lives from what we say, but for some reason we don’t seem to control our thoughts in a way that readily manifests our destiny. You may or may not be aware that our destiny is completely in our hands. However, we seem to make excuses to not put into practice the law of harmlessness, and we hand off responsibility, hence allowing others to handle our fate for us.

So it is for this reason, the law of harmlessness appears dysfunctional in many humans lives. In thinking about it further, by not allowing in the law of harmlessness in our lives and producing a life of love with our thoughts, we’re creating the opposite of life, which is that of death.

How can this be?

If you think about it, the law across the globe states that “Thou Shalt Not Kill” in the physical sense that is. But how then, can we be allowed to kill on a seemingly lesser level (but still as deadly) with the use of our words and thoughts. We can kill someone to a certain level with the words we speak, and when asked we’ll give many reasons as justify what it is we’re doing. The most destructive killing comes as the by product of our thoughts, especially when we don’t take control of them.

Nature seems to have a knowing and the law of harmlessness built into it, it self-heals as soon as the human race stops abusing it. If we can learn to work with nature and see ourselves as part of it, we’ll begin to derive the necessary insights that are offered by Mother Nature and adopt them into our own lives, characteristics and actions.

By adopting the law of harmlessness and directing it towards ourselves first, we’ll in turn become harmless towards others living in the world at the same time. This means working on instilling this law into ourselves and cease being destructive to ourselves.

The reason why we may be more destructive to ourselves than harmless, is somewhere in society it has become accepted to down talk ourselves, but if we talk ourselves up we’re often seen as egotistical. And as a result, we decrease our own value in communications with others, because we’ve given such a low opinion of our self, out intelligence, our capabilities and our physical identity.

How many of us answer when asked, with “I am the best…” whatever it is you do, in the world?

It’s just not readily accepted as a positive response to have self-pride and loving yourself, and it’s rather sad that self-love is seen as negative. Because all of this sort of behaviour is not in conjunction with the law of harmlessness. We have to identify and praise our God given talents and qualities, not diminish them because of what society will think about it.

As thoughts are things, we know the power of the spoken word. And every time we speak lowly of ourselves or rather, play our talents and strong points down in public, we are effectively confirming that we aren’t worthy of that talent on a sub-conscious level. So in sending out this energy which is supported by the actions of our body, we are actually admitting to ourselves, our sub-conscious and anyone who listens of our less than actual, state of ability and accomplishments. Of course we’re only doing this because we’re taught to be humble and wish to appear to be a humble, regular person.

The challenge then is for us as talented individuals, each with our various skills, to communicate in a spoken way that surrenders this “regular person” demeanour. By identifying how to convey our own unique talents that could be important to those who we interact with.

By informing people from a perspective of balanced understanding of ourselves and our identified talents, and by respectfully sharing with others in how you’re developing your own creative opportunities you effectively build your own self-esteem in a harmless “non-egotistical” way. You could even end up really helping someone who needs such talents you have, and this would once again be in alignment with the law of harmlessness.

So to finalize, you need to be aware of how many times we harm ourselves on a regular basis because we convey our inadequacies, self-doubt and insecurities, just so we play ourselves down with those sharing the similar stories around us.

To be harmless to ourselves we need to cut back on the sin of omitting our talents and information us that could help others, as omission is denial.

With the law of harmlessness we get to practice active listening and selective choosing, because we have the power to be harmless to ourselves and therefore harmless to everyone else as well.

And by being aware of the law of attraction, law of compensation and law of cause and effect we know that the scenarios we find ourselves in are from our own thought process and manifestation, and these laws in action.

Now that you’re more knowledgeable on this law of harmlessness, you’ll be able to sift through the information and scenarios that you find yourself manifesting into your life in a harmless way on yourself and others. You’ll be able to balance out your responses in the way you handle each situation and people in a way that works for you, rather than you being slave (and feel like a victim) to the situation.

We’re All Divine Inside
May 15th, 2008 by DaimonDance in Inspirational No Comments

Some time ago my partner and I, ventured down the street for a round of The Princess Game, not a new TV reality show, but a board game our young neighbor, Ella, plays. Cinderella, played by Uncle Jerry, won while I, Snow White, lost multiple times.

As we prepared to leave, Ella asked me to come upstairs. At the top of the steps she whispered, I want you to have my b. Never had a runner up in a game or contest received such a special gift. You see Ella has had many soft, silky blankets she calls bs in her young life but this was one of her first. I may have lost the Princess Game but I floated home feeling like a queen, my prize the small worn blanket.

That night I slept with the b at my side. Regardless of what happened in the world that day that I found distressing, it was enough that this loving child had offered me one of her dearest possessions without reservation.

Upon studying the blanket the next morning, I realized it was covered with drawings of children, children of many cultures. Each tan, brown, white and black baby floated on its own little cloud. Despite their racial differences, every cloud was the same and each child appeared content. None were looking around comparing and competing to see who had the bigger or better cloud. Upon looking more closely, I realized every child had wings. Each child was an angel.

I wondered, When do we begin to change? When do we start comparing clouds and accumulating them, thinking one won’t suffice? When do we decide we need bigger and better wings? More importantly, when do we forget our wings altogether?

It seems we slowly trade our wings for things. We buy into the illusion that security can be purchased through the right zip codes, jobs, schools and cars while wearing the latest haircuts, clothing and styles. We have social security for our later years, security systems for our cars and homes and Homeland Security for our country. Somehow we’ve forgotten real security is an inside job.

All too often instead of thinking for ourselves, we listen to sound bites, mental fast food, and follow the leaders who seem, at times, to want us to forget our wings. Labeled and separated into rich/poor, liberal/conservative, educated/ uneducated, blue collar/white collar, we become vulnerable, more easily controlled and pitted against one another. Left unchecked our attitudes and stereotypes further separate us.

If we remember, regardless of class, color or creed, that everyone is created in the image of the Divine, hunger would be inexcusable and poverty unacceptable. Corporate, political and personal misuse of power would cease. People would be seen from the bottom of our hearts not for their impact on the bottom line.

True security isn’t found in possessions or positions, looking like Cinderalla or being born a Rockafella. It doesn’t reside in winning board games or war games, contests or conquests. Imagine the shift in our relationships if we remembered that like the winged children on Ella’s blanket, we’re all divine inside.

Are you frustrated because all your friends are communicating with their Guides, Angels or Oracles, but you get nothing? The remedy may be simpler than you’ve ever imagined. Here’s how it works.

Everyone has Guides. You don’t have to be “special” or “psychic.” Nor do you “earn” their assistance by something you do. If you’re here on Earth, you’ve got Invisible Assistants at your side.

So who are these Invisible Assistants and why do they help you? Guides are highly evolved discarnate entities who know you and love you. They are indeed your best friends. They know your goals for this life. And they will be at your side throughout all your adventures here to help you have the experiences you came to life to have.

Before you enter a body on this planet, you, like everyone else, works out “rules” with your Guides governing how much, when, and what kind of assistance and guidance you want to receive. This is why some Guides can break into their charge’s awareness at any time, while others are limited to only giving brief answers to specific questions, and still others can bring up any subject they deem useful once a conversation begins. The rules are different for everyone because YOU make the rules.

But there’s one requirement that’s part of everyone’s arrangement: your Guides cannot make First Contact. Once the Inbound Processing into your new earthly body is complete, it is up to you to contact them before any guidance can begin.

Just when that First Contact occurs depends upon many factors: the degree of “Forgetting” you achieved during your inbound processing, your soul’s particular “style” or temperament, and the level of its spiritual evolution and awareness. It’s also greatly influenced by the culture and religious environment you entered, the challenges you face, and, last, but definitely not least, the arsenal of beliefs, behaviors and defenses that your new ego uses to help it stay alive and find love here.

First Contact may occur with the almost-newborn infant’s pre-verbal, psychic longing for relief as it struggles through its mother’s birth canal. Or, it may come in a stricken soldier’s, “Oh, God, help me…” as he lies dying on a battlefield. Or at any time in between. For some, it never happens at all. Many live their entire lives unaware of the love and assistance that’s waiting for them.

It also doesn’t matter who that First Contact is addressed to. You can call out to God, The High Mother, Allah, Aphrodite, Shiva, St. Teresa, the Blessed Ancestors, Kali, Buddha, Jesus, Pachamama—or any other name given to Divinity by the many cultures and religions on this planet. Whatever name you use to call out to the Spirit realm, your Guides will answer.

This is not to say that the face of Divinity you called out to will not also answer. It’s just that now, because you’ve called, your Guides can answer. Those are the rules. (For a full discussion of Guides, Oracles, Angels, and other Invisible Assistants, see the article, The Truth About Oracles at WomanSpiritOracles.com.)

Ideally, we’d live our lives here on Earth in such complete communion with our spirits, souls and bodies that we’d need no assistance from beyond the Veil. We’d feel our spirit’s joy. We’d pay attention to our bodies and heed the messages it sends us about its needs. We’d feel the longings of our souls and act on them, following the soul’s signals to turn ourselves away from pain and toward those things that bring us even more Joy. We’d be faced with challenges, of course—this Game of Life we come here to play would be boring without them—but because we’d be so attuned to the soul, we’d quickly and happily overcome them. (For help in recognizing the soul’s urgings, see the article, Turn Signals of the Soul, at WomanSpiritOracles.com.)

Yes, well, that’s how it’s supposed to work. But here’s what happens when things aren’t working quite that well.

First, your soul will alert your Guides that it requires some assistance in accomplishing its goals. You—the ego, the persona you’ve developed in this life—may be miserable or ignoring soul’s desires or doing things that limit your body (which is your soul’s vehicle here). Whatever the reason, your soul is frustrated because it’s not having the experiences it came to have.

If First Contact has NOT occurred, your Guides can offer no direct assistance. The best they can do—and they can only do it if your agreement allows—is to manipulate your environment in such a way as to prompt you to feel the need to call for help. Some have described this as getting a “cosmic 2×4 smacked upside the head.” And yes, your ego is highly unlikely to regard this new life crisis as “help.” But your soul will. In its view, you’re on the wrong track; you’re wasting its life and it will welcome whatever it takes to get you back on Right Path.

If First Contact has already occurred—or, if the “Cosmic 2×4″ is successful, once it does—your Guides will immediately begin communicating with you. They know your real goals, what will really make you happy. They’ve observed your ego’s needs, motives, hopes and fears, and—appearances not withstanding—they’re not completely unsympathetic to its feelings. They will choose the best strategy and most efficient mode of communication for you, the easiest way for you to “get” what you need to know.

They’ll use dreams, music, colors, “coincidences,” oracles, pendulums, bodily sensations, other people, animals, Nature, automatic handwriting, visions, psychics, even plain words if all else fails—they’ll use whatever works.

You may suddenly notice the words to a song running through your head over and over. Or awaken with a dream that feels “important” in an odd way. Or emerge from meditation with a sudden Insight. Or encounter a stranger who makes an offhand remark that’s just what you needed to hear. You might feel drawn to journal or draw or paint. Or to walk in Nature and suddenly see something in a tree’s shape or river’s bend that perfectly illustrates what’s really happening in your life. Or you may be suddenly struck by bodily sensations impossible to ignore. Or you may be drawn to Oracles or other divinatory tools to clarify the assistance you seek.

Your Guides may, if nothing else works, even “talk” to you in your native language. But unless you’ve become very skilled at channeling, this avenue is usually a last resort because the ego can so easily garble or deliberately obscure their message. Be open to any avenue because they’ll use Whatever Works.

You deserve Happiness. And Peace. And Success. Your Guides are at your side to help. All you need do is ask. Do it today!

Are you a Saint? A Zen Master? How about just a good human being? How do you know? What are the qualification? Are there any tests you can take to find out your spiritual growth? Yes there are.

There are lots of ways to test your spiritual progress and life is constantly doing just that by giving you tests to help you evaluate yourself in order to make spiritual progress. There are also many ways to assess your spiritual level proactively and in this article I will provide one such illuminating test.

Human beings are complex and so is life. I am glad it is so. The test I propose in this document is to evaluate some aspects of your being and is by no means a comprehensive examination. Perhaps I will come up with a more complete system down the road, but for now let’s try this one test to get us started.

This test will help you determine if you have the right perspective, the right spiritual attitude towards life, or if you have been snared by society and entrapped by the ugly web of attachment.

From my experience this one test, although simple, is quite revealing. It is incisive and cuts deep into your psyche to reveal the conditions under which you are currently operating. Using it, I can not only keep a sharp eye on if I am slipping into the jaws of ambition, but can also determine the state others are in, with regard to their “spiritual evolution”.

By no means am I suggesting that you start to use this test (or others I might propose) to start judging the world or yourself harshly. The test is simply to be used as an indicator, to give you insight and help you with your spiritual work. So here is how the test works.

Test To Determine Your Spiritual Growth & Mental State

Step 1: Take a few moments and determine what you are very passionate about. This can be your career, but, does not necessarily have to be so. It should be something, though, that you are actively engaged in doing and something that you feel deeply about. Here are some examples: Yoga Teacher, Professional Blogger, Health Care Professional, Technology Professional, Businessman, Politician, etc.

Step 2: In this field that you care very deeply about, think about someone who is enormously successful. Successful in all ways if possible. Someone who has made a huge amount of money in that field, become famous and is powerful. Now one more criteria is important about this person. If possible, have it be someone who you don’t like, or don’t agree with. The more you dislike their ways and methods the better, but the test will also work pretty well even if you don’t dislike the person or their systems.

Step 3: Watch your reaction to when you hear complimentary information about this person, or just hear about the success this person is having in their life. Be brutally honest, or you will just be cheating yourself. Does it create any negative wave within you? Any tinge of jealousy? Any feeling of irritation? Any feeling of frustration? Any feeling of hurt? Does it cause any ripple, any disturbance, in your psyche? The greater the disturbance the more the test indicates its time to get busy with your spiritual practice. Here is a more detailed analysis of the test results.

A negative reaction or disturbance can indicate the following with regard to your spiritual state.

1. Too Much Ambition: You are probably focused too much on getting results and are overly ambitious. These attachments to the results can cause jealousy and ill-will towards those who have already achieved what you so badly seek. Another way to look at this is you may not be doing what your really love to do in life? This is the only way to be free of the clutches of society and gain oriented living. Doing what you love to do, will free you from everything. If this test produced negative waves, it could mean that you are only doing things to see what you will get out of them, instead of doing things for their own sake.

2. Non-Dual Perception of Reality: The test could also indicate that you are living excessively in an ego-centric way. You are seeing the world as full of separate people and focusing on the various personalities, instead of seeing the world in a non-dual light with all of creation being One and having nothing but divine nature. As Yogi Bhajan points out, “If you don’t see God in all, you don’t see God at all.” Are you seeing the Divine Nature of he who is getting under your skin? Are you seeing the Oneness of Reality?

3. Chasing the Wrong Things in Life: If you have never thought about it, let me point out an interesting fact about enlightenment. In society there is so much competition because resources/rewards are limited. There are only so many top 10 Blogs, there is only 1 winner in the tournaments, there are only limited political seats, there is only 1 CEO, only so much oil, land, etc etc. This breeds competition and conflict. But Enlightenment is not limited. Just because I am enlightened, does not mean you can’t be also. We can all be enlightened (and are), so this is one of those things you can chase without worrying about having to wrestle it away from anyone else. There is no need to compete, it is an infinite, inexhaustible resource.

So this test implies that you are not exclusively chasing enlightenment. You are getting distracted and running around all over the place chasing useless stupid things. Time to buckle down and get back to the business of going after that which is the highest purpose of man. Time to fulfill your destiny.

Take this test from time to time, or be aware when life brings it your way. It is an insightful instrument to gauge your goodness and spiritual understanding.

Otherwise known as: Truffling for Treasures

Every time I watch So You Think You Can Dance (yes I admit it, I’m, a dancing jump time junky) I delight in seeing the young people show their passion for dance. I delight in their limber bodies and ecstatic flights of grace. But in particular, I delight in watching deep relationships of interconnection grow amongst a group that started as diverse and competitive soloists.

The thing that seems to set this program apart from a crowd of other reality shows is its partnering techniques. Dancers are partnered, re-partnered and soloed throughout the competition. As a result, the dancers not only need to show individual strength and grace (something most of them had upon entering) but they also need to show unity of cooperation with the strengths and weaknesses their partners. Those who make it to the end of the competition (or should I say co-opetition) are those that learn success is deeply and intricately interwoven with their partner’s success. In this way, bonds are formed. Not only with one partner, but with the entire group since cycling and recycling amongst partners occurs repeatedly. They not only get new dances to learn on a weekly basis but they also get new partners (the timing of partner shifts varies throughout the season, but as I write this it is happening on a weekly basis).

At first, this engagement with the new routine and partner is more struggle than dance. As a dancer I recognize the crucial importance of this wrestling stage, a phase where the body struggles to ground the newness into its cells. It is more juggling than surfing, more particle than wave. If even one step (ball, nuance) is dropped, everything tends to come crashing down because there is nothing to keep the movement secure until the particle joins with the wave. At this earliest stage, hard work is needed to keep the particles (steps) in focus, to keep them interacting and connecting, moving and gliding, heating to the point where an alchemical transformation can occur.

In this educating space where overwhelm threatens, the daimon watches and judges one’s resolve and commitment. But when passion is bright and commitment strong, a breath is forged from the electrical cauldron of inner fire and a step occurs that is not the dancer’s individual step alone. An appropriate opening presents itself and the daimon soon joins the dance. The particle meets the wave. Magic happens. As the Lord or Lady of the Dance arrive, we marvel at the beauty of that which was nothing but chaos only moments ago.

Of course, when it comes down to the end result, all of the dancers want to be the one left standing at the end of the season. Dance is their dream and their passion. Their unique daimon urges them on, luring them into pursuing that dream as best they know how. Individually, they each want to win, but the true magic happens at a deeper level. Their shared dream has helped them reach that still point where they no longer need to negate the dream of another. Instead, through their 24/7 contact with each other and with the magic of dance, they are learning to celebrate when the other (who is no longer other) wins, and to mourn with them when The End of the Road Rears its Head.

As I contemplate the power that Dance has to unite, even competitive natures such as ours, I shiver in wonder at the possibilities. What if…What if… these, our young people, can learn to dance as gracefully and deliciously with their ever constant inner partner as they are learning to do with their ever changing outer partners? What if they can learn to approach the dance of life with its competitions, battles and struggles as they do their physical dancing – realizing that nobody wins the game of life alone. What if the dance lessons they struggle with now can become metaphors for life lessons? If this were to happen, what bright possibilities might emerge for a world gone slightly mad in this destructive, competitive, time of war and me-my-mine need to win. My vote is with the Dance – so let the dancing begin.

But I digress…

What with a few dance routines under our belts it’s time to get down to some nitty, gritty, dusty, dirty work in our cellars. “Cellars?” you ask. What does dancing with our daimon partner have to do with cellar work? Why not continue dancing out under the stars with our beloved inner star? Ahhh, yes, I agree that the lure is strong. But, meanwhile, cellars gather dust and go unattended. Cellar, or cave dancing, might not be everyone’s favorite routine, but it may be the most important one we’ve learned so far.

The D.U.S.T. Shuffle is a dance of pairing (now you can see why I spent so much time with pairing above). But this pairing is pairing with a partner that you might prefer to forget or ignore. Alas, that is not possible. In the game of life, just as with the young dancers described above, we need to recognize the importance of learning to dance with every partner that comes our way – no matter who or what they might be.

This routine has been difficult to choreograph even for cave lovers such as myself. I’ve been distracted by the sun, by the delights of the outdoors. My rational mind tries to distract me with its mantra of, “Isn’t winter a more appropriate time to deal with cleaning the cellar?” But I recognize excuses when I hear them, so that is why I’m turning to the cobwebbed cave of the soul now. The more we seek to escape, the more we need to realize just how right it is to proceed onwards with the venture.

This is a way of breaking patterns, of standing on our head, of doing flip-flopping trance dances to shake loose any set ways and routines so as to bump us into liminal space and time – a realm crucial for success with this routine. While it’s true that most would rather spend their time with the above ground beauty of Mother Nature, if we truly want to discover where our greatest hidden treasure (our Daimon diamonds) is hidden, it is to the dusty, cobwebbed shadows of cellar and cave that the ancient mythic stories say we must travel.

Our dragons (or jaguars as I prefer to call them) are the most worthy of adversaries with whom we will ever engage. These partners exist to make us strong. Only by consciously meeting and wrestling with these partners will we ever realize our full potential. Only then will we find the missing notes of our song, the missing steps our dance, gathering them into the harmonics of our lives. The alchemists saw these inner partners as vehicles of transformation. Nothing of great value in life is attained without some kind of alchemical passage or test. This dance routine is about recognizing the transforming testing partners that we have the special opportunity to experience every day of our lives.

In the Da Vinci Code, Dan Brown relates how we can be affected by something called scotoma, a blind or dark spot in our visual field. Brown introduces this term to explain how we can look at something everyday without glimpsing an apparent truth, an ah-ha hidden under the transparent coating of our dark spot. I believe that daimons enjoy the game of hide and seek, and delight in artfully hiding the grand messages of our lives in our dark spots, in those most unlikely of places that are right in front of us but which we tend to overlook due to force of habit or inappropriate training. In this way, daimons present us with the exquisitely delightful gift of rediscovering our universal truths and treasures at the perfect moment for each of us. All we need do is hear with new ears and see with new eyes.

Okay – so now it’s time for the first part of the D.U.S.T. Shuffle.

First of all, one needs to find the stickiest of things (from either your inner-verse or outer-verse), that one thing you choose to consciously ignore more often than not, that one thing you would prefer to never engage or spend time with. A strong charge means you are close to the treasure. Even better yet, from the flip flop perspective, a strong negative charge means you are right on top of it – although it is well hidden under the coating of something else (a hide and seek game to entice us in). This is where you should focus your attention.

Just as we turn to the cellar for cooling when the sun shines brightest in the sky, so too we turn to that which seems darkest for us to find the gold. It could be your anger or your fear, your despair at the state of the world, or your inability to generate the money you need to pursue your dream. Everyone comes into this world with a unique seeded coating to unravel as well as a unique treasure lying concealed beneath our tapestried veils. The hidden treasure may not yet be apparent to us, but for this routine, why not recognize that it is close.

For now, I just want you to honor this tricksy, thorny, coating that covers your hidden diamond. Sit with this rascally partner, start up a conversation. Since we prefer to separate ourselves from our deepest woundings or problems, to be outside and beyond their spell, why not actually re-enact such a scenario for this dance. Sculpt a façade for this grating isness, make it other. Create a face and character. Name this interesting partner with whom you are engaging.

Interestingly, many of us tend to treat others with more respect than we do the disowned or unloved parts of ourselves. Respect this newest of partners, allow them to have their story, their dance steps, no matter how outrageous they might be. In fact, the more theatrically outrageous the better. Ask questions of it. Why has it taken up residence in your cellared depths? Why is it undermining your dance hall? What have you done to entice it into your life, to anger it? What needs to happen to appease it, to make friends? Become a seed whisperer. Whisper this seeded partner into germination. Shine the sun of your consciousness on it. Ask deep questions and listen even deeper for the answers. To start, conversation is enough. You might even be surprised by what you hear.

Over the next few weeks, practice the first part of the D.U.S.T. Shuffle often. Work on conversing with a slew of cobwebs and dark corners, or concentrate on just one – as you see fit. Put up the word D.U.S.T or Truffle somewhere you can see it so as to spark your cells to remember the step. Don’t forget the dragon (reptilian) mind – our inner cave dweller – prefers repetition, rhythm, ritual and routine. Attend to its needs through one of these Rs. Who knows, you might even find yourself looking forward to your daily spelunking to engage in a fantastic depth conversation. We all know, good conversation is hard to find these days.

Once you start attending to this partner, even if it is just in the wrestling stage, all sorts of things begin to bubble up into consciousness that will need attending to. So stay focused and be prepared. This may just be the juggling stage but we must not forget the daimon watches and waits in the wings.

Once we accept that the D.U.S.T. of our lives is not an enemy to be scorned but a crucial part and partner of ourselves, then the conversation will automatically deepen into a quantum dance of deep connection. The seeds will sprout and our deepest joys will begin to blossom.

Imagine forging a strong bond with an irreplacable friend, one
willing to share their deepest knowings and secrets with you.

Imagine someone eager to partner you in a relationship that
could fulfill the quest of your soul’s purpose. How much richer
would you feel with such support to back you up?

Is perfecting such a beloved relationship worth a small amount
of commitment on your part? Is it worth the time and effort
needed to read, ponder and play with 4 joyful clues to
uncovering the gold concealed within your Inner Soul’s Dance?

1. Put some spice into your sacred practice

Send emails to your inner friend. Get your inner partner a free
email account. You can use fun and sparkling usernames like:
rescuepartner or innerpartner or innerceo@yourfreemailservice.com

Then make sure to actually send the emails out to the virtual
world in order to hone your depth communication skills with your
inner self. Send love letters, send thoughts, send requests. Finally,
remember to listen deep inside for the reply. (It will come, this is a
powerful tool.)

Use these messages for whatever tickles your fancy, as you bring
your depth relationship with the inner partner to life in both
the physical and virutal realms.

2. Give your inner partner a face

Attach a story to your inner partner, give them a name, make
them real. Pure energy is difficult for humans to interact
with. It’s like dancing with electrical current. So let’s try
relating to this inner voice in a new way. Find a mythical being
or archetype with whom you resomate. Make them as real as you
can, so that they can become, if juyst in the imaginal world, an actual
being with whom you can dance. A fun way of doing this is to
take a quantum partner out on a date. Go to the movies together.
Go out to dinner, create fabulous mischief, just you and your chosen
Quantum Partner. Try them on for size.

Just as in life, some relationships work out and some don’t.
You’ll know when you find the right energy, the true face of your inner
dancing partner. You’ll buzz. You’re blood will sing. But be patient
with the process, this piece can take time and commitment
on your part. In the meantime hold to the knowing:

You know they’re in there somewhere,
and somewhere you will find them.

After all, if you take one step towards the immortal Beloved,
they have a tendency to come arunning to you. Their yearning
for connection is that strong.

3. Give them a history and personality

Now that you found an energy that resonates, use imaginal musings
to paint a more intricate picture of your partner. What are their desires,
their yearnings? Who would they be if they were human? What nationality,
or relaion? What beliefs and values would they honor? Where would they live?
In what country were they born? Use your artist’s soul and create the portrait
of your deep inner flame.

Why not use the idea of their imaginal birth place and time to obtain a free
astrology reading. Get a romantic partner reading comparing you and the
inner partner. One way to do this is to look at the most significant planetary
or archetypal influence in your chart. For example, if Pluto looms large in your
reading you might want to use the Scorpio sun sign as your partner’s inner sign.
Or you might want to check to see where the planetary influence falls in your charts
and use qualities associated with that house and sun sign. In a future article I’ll share
more about how I approached this exercise and some of my personal findings
at the results.

4. Explore Some Dance Steps

Try out the Penny Polka
Truffle through the Dust Shuffle.
You can find out more about these at the Daimon Dance Club Newsletter.

Remeber the soul speaks through encoded messages, coded in symbol and
rhtythm and imaginal dreaming. Begin to explore your partner’s uniquely
personal symbolic language and soon, instead of watching
Dancing with the Stars on TV, you’ll be staring in your own performance.

Who says spiritual practice needs to be boring or tedious? Why
not turn it into a joy filled dance of delight! DON’T WAIT,
your inner quantum partners are as anxious to connect with you
as you are to find them. Why not take one or two of these
gentle reminders and turn them into opportunities for Dancing
with your Inner Star.

Let the Dance Begin!

When one voice commands
Your whole heart
And it is raven dark,

Steady yourself and see
That it is your thinking
That darkens your world,

Search and you will find
A diamond-thought of light,

Know that you are not alone
And that this darkness has purpose;
Gradually it will school your eyes
To find the one gift your life requires
Hidden within this night-corner.

Beloved Soul Fried, departed 1/2008.

You are not alone. You are never alone. Deep witihin a friend resides, always present, always on call, always present and available. All you have to do to access this bond is to sound him/her/it out. They are poised and paused on notice, ever ready and waiting the call.

Wouldn’t it be fabulous to always have access to one who is willing to share in your deep thoughts and knowings at a mpments notice, to delight in your secrets and senses; one who is eager to partner you in a relationship to uncover your soul’s code.

To better explain the term “daimon”, I want to first touch briefly on the concept of archetypes. Archetype refers to the “first types,” coded and primal patterns from which people derive their essence and existence. These archetypal patterns include such well known symbols as Mother, Father, Empress, Emperor, Wizard and Warrior. As inhabitants of the We Are realm, the in between realm that contains the energies of universal story and myth, as well as the great creative patterns that guide and instruct us, these archetypal patterns bridge spirit with nature, mind with body, and self with universe. They are not individual personal energies but rather shared constructs of the psyche, timeless beings once seen as gods and goddesses in older cultures that are available to all through our inner depth-soundings.

In contrast to archetypes, there are many faces to a daimon. It varies for each of us. We might think of the daimon as our very own archetypal entity, a personal image found within our psyche of our unique Highest Self or Essence, a deep directive force that drives us towards the actualization of our individual soul print. Essence invites us into extraordinary partnership, through interaction with the face of our daimon, in order to call forth a dance of becoming. As the music plays, this choreography between the eternal and our inner depth selves helps evoke our deepest life patterns, coaxing them from out of the innumerable possibilities available in the We Are archetypal world. When people come into resonance with their creative seed of greatness, their daimon essence or call, they know it in their hearts. They feel it in their bones. It sings in their blood.

When we tune into this daimon energy, a different way of being is engaged, one that lifts seeing into another domain where love rules and patterns of higher resonance are known. This daimon dance is experiential. It is being in the flow. It is making use of the highest skills available to us. It is putting old ideas to work in new ways and uncovering latent abilities we never knew we had. When we live in service to the Daimon Dance we become actors in a new story that engages in the sacred drama of life. We enter the domain of mythic mind, and come face to face, toe to toe, with the richness of who we really are.

Interestingly, Sufi scholar, Henri Corbin, says it is not personal individuation that is our main task during this life but rather the individuation, the unfolding into Essence, of our daimon self. A daimon (higher being) enters space and time and finds its individuation through its twinned human companion. Our little local self is here to be in service to the dance of the daimon, setting up our lives to help in its essential becoming. In the end, the daimon’s becoming is our becoming, our highest soul’s becoming.

We can relate this notion of higher purpose to the images found in the depths of our psyche, images that provide clues as to who or what, within us, is choreographing the show. Because the psyche consists primarily of images, the primary activity of the psyche can be called imagining. As humans, we bloom out of the imaginal world, arising from the We Are realm of myth and symbol. If at our core we are symbols and images then our lives can be said to be the actualization of these seeded codes. When all is said and done, our unique core image, the daimon dance, as I call it, is the ultimate concern of each person’s life. All else is just detail.

I bid you joy-filled dancing. Let the Daimon Dance begin

Unmasking the Daimon
February 10th, 2008 by DaimonDance in Dance, Inner Partner No Comments

How can we define who the daimon is?
Some terms used inthe past to describe this being (or un-being) are:

Twin-soul, Twin-flame
Inner partner, Higher Self
Anima/Animus
Angel or god,Spirit Guide
Beloved of the Soul
Soul friend and companion
Motivator, Inner CEO
Mentor and teacher

This inner friend brings companionship, completion and fulfillment. This partnership is available to everone if we only know how to read the inner symbolic language, finding our own personal particular way to honor and commingle with this missing half of our soul’s dance. It is up to each of us to invite them into the arena of our life for relationship and sharing, because the daimon awaits that invitation. For it to come unasked, to barge in without a by-your-leave is descriptive of the term demonic not daimonic. For right relationship to occur, this must be a partnered sharing, a combined trust of give and take. But if you were to take the first step towards the daimon, it is more than likely you will find them running towards you in the most unusual of ways. The yearning to re-unite is great on both sides of the mist filled veil.

Humans naturally symbolize things in pairs. It is the way our male/female, anima/animus, Yin/Yang, on/off, bit/byte mind tends to work. But there is also a deeper, richer desire for unity. As a result, the dance of relationship, the daimon dance, seeks out the integral connection of unity while working within the give and take of the world’s polarity: the dance flow and the technical step, the unified Dance and the shared partnership of the dancers. The daimon is not only our inner core partner, our twin soul, it is also our completion, our unification within the higher context of the Dance.

Understanding and accepting the idea of an inner soul partner can be a bit of a difficult process in a culture that tends to revere either the external rational world of action, or a given set of religious ideals and beliefs about which one should subscribe. This can be especially unsettling for women who have begun to experience a taste of this soul-flame. Men have the age-old idea of the Muse with which to describe these experiences, an idea that has been part of our cultural acceptance since ancient Greece, but women have had no such symbolic concept to help make sense of the sometimes intense re-uniting. As a result, it is time to address this issue, to proclaim for all to hear, that the soul friend is a universal pattern of connection that is available to all. All we need do is re-learn the symbolic language, the seeded coding with which the imaginal re-enters our lives.
